Bio

Minla is a Brussels based band formed by singer Mirte Leconte & trumpet player Marthe van droogenbroeck.
Their music blends elements of acoustics and electronics together into a warm ethereal mix of different genres with roots in jazz, build around voice and trumpet.
They recorded their first EP in full band in February 2023 with Nina Kortekaas (keys), Felix Declerck (electric bass) and Matthias Dewaele (drums) also piano player Diederik Wissels joined on one of the songs.

The project has currently a residency in Volta (Brussels), was finalist at Dinant jazz and played sold out concerts during their yet short but promising journey. The heart of the project lays with trumpet player Marthe van droogenbroeck and singer and songwriter Mirte Leconte and depending on the venue Minla can be booked in duo, trio or full band.
